Declaration of War Books can be purchased with /town redeem [War Type]
.
Tokens are earned by every non-neutral town every real day. If a town is part of a nation that nation must not be neutral either. Towns with an active war will also not receive war tokens.
Declaration of War books are used by holding the book and using the /declare war [War Type] [Argument]
command, this is documented in the books themselves.
Wars can have custom names, use the command /declare setwarname [War Name]
while holding a declaration of war book.
A regular war can be started without Staff intervention and are the bulk of conflict on the server. These wars are considered low-stakes and only the war chest (and perhaps pride) are available rewards.
Territorial war status is a toggle available to any non-neutral town. It can be enabled and disabled with /t toggle territorialwars
. It will give your town the ability to start (and be the target of) a Staff-moderated war with another town that also has it enabled. As a reward for baring this risk, your town will earn a 20% upkeep reduction on top of any other existing bonuses.
To start one of these, you must first open a War Declaration ticket on Discord. Here the Staff team will work with the attackers and defenders to set out acceptable terms for a war, mainly what each side will lose or gain depending on the outcome of the war - generally, the defender may get more favourable terms than the attacker in the event of a win.
The purpose of moderation is to ensure that all wars are fair and reasonable. Fair means that the reward won is proportional to the victory and does not leave the losing side in impossible situations. Reasonable wars mean that their purpose is logical, you generally cannot annex an entire large nation in one war or take territory from the middle of somewhere without any prior links. Certain terms may be adjusted based on the totality of the victory or loss, both sides can give and receive rewards to negotiate a peace.
To end a territorial war, you can either ask or offer peace to the opposing side with the Peace Treaty ticket on Discord.
